The best place for first-time visitors to begin learning about Platte County is the Platte County Visitor Center in Wheatland which is located within the Platte County Chamber of Commerce. At the Platte County Visitor Center, you will find helpful visitor specialists who will be able to answer any questions and supply all the maps and brochures you will need. They will even help you plan your trip to Platte County!!!

While you are out and about traveling Platte County, take the time to visit our small communities. You will find that each of our towns has its own distinct charm and proud traditions. We have State Parks, National Historic Sites, and beautiful downtowns for you to explore.

One thing that you will discover while visiting our communities they all have one thing in common, friendly people. Please don’t rush your visit. Take your time to visit with the locals you meet. It won’t take you long to realize that we’re as eager to get to know you as you are to know us.
