Associate Director:  Full-Time Under the direction of and in coordination with the Executive Director:

1. Communications: Calendars, notification of upcoming events/meetings,
newsletter.
2. Office Management: Keep updated demographics and community profiles,
membership list.
3. Membership: Help prepare materials for meetings, attend meetings and functions
for Chamber when needed, Keep a current fiscal year list of new members. Keep
membership notified of upcoming events (Chamber Connect Newsletter)

Specific explanation of responsibilities:

LIST OF DAILY-WEEKLY-MONTHLY-QUARTERLY RESPONSIBLITIES

NUMBER ONE PRIORITY: Phones and Person/s coming into the Chamber/Visitors
Center

WHEN NEEDED….
– Prepare Bulk mailing
– Filing
– Update and maintain demographics of Platte County, community profiles,
and economic data pertaining to the area.
– Assist in arranging support materials and supplies for meetings and
functions.
– Send Membership Thank-You’s with window decal
– Maintain a minimum of five membership packets at any given time
– Attend meetings and functions outside the office when appropriate.
– Maintain activities calendar for community, chamber and staff functions.
– Maintain the internal calendar of events/projects.
– Organize office functions for timely and cohesive operations.
– Notify committees of upcoming meetings, activities, etc.
– Order replacement brochures for tourist when necessary
– Ribbon Cuttings
o Set up Ribbon cuttings
o When ribbon cuttings are set up call the Board Members. All other ribbon
cuttings have a ribbon, scissors, certificate and camera.
– Pride Certificate Program
o Prepare, log and print Pride Certificates – when needed
o Prepare and maintain data base for Pride Certificate Program
o Print certificates as requested

o Maintain current list of members on Pride Certificate list
o Post redeemed Pride Certificates on the Pride Excel Program

Other Duties
– Prepare fliers and brochures and/or posters as assigned by the Executive
Director
– Brochure up-dates – i.e. motels, restaurants and campgrounds
– Any other duties assigned by the executive director
– Keep Chamber Connect Newsletter up to date. They need to go out every
Tuesday.
– Go with the Executive Director to video tape or photograph members’ places
of business.
– Fold LTB brochures and get them mailed

DAILY….
– Clock in and out
– Fill out activity log
– Internet Service/Web Site
o Maintain current Web Site – editing such as putting up events
– Check email for info@plattechamber.com and respond appropriately
– Fill brochures and maps
– Keep the Membership List up to date (this may require you to call them and
make sure their information is up to date).
– Put together and keep up to date Members who takes Pride Certificates (this
will require you to call them)
– Maintain current Web Site – editing
– Check email for info@plattechamber.com and respond appropriately
– Maintain calendar with monthly up-dates
– Maintain current list of members on Pride Certificate list
– Take out trash, sweep, vacuum, clean bathrooms
– Water the plants

WEEKLY…..
– Weekly Chamber Newsletter goes out on Tuesday
– Prepare material for a weekly newsletter some material provided by the
Executive Director
– Send additional newsletters to other chambers & new members, ribbon
cutting, etc.

MONTHLY….
– Compile monthly stat sheets – end of each month
– Complete State Park Reports by the 10th of each month – as necessary

QUARTERLY…
– Business After Hours – Set up & Attend if possible
– In general, all Chamber projects that need specific attention at the time.
– Call all members and update their information

EVENTS….
– Help with getting all the supplies and such ready for events
– Plan to attend all events

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY CHANGE OVER TIME AS THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR SEES FIT.

Keep in close working contact with Executive Director.
